Optoga lights up Barcelona – in the star above Casa Seat’s Christmas tree

In the heart of Barcelona, outside Casa Seat on Passeig de Gràcia, stands a 12-metre Christmas tree that has quickly become one of the city’s most photographed spots this season.
Its highlight – quite literally – is a 2.5-metre star inspired by the iconic rooftop star of the Sagrada Família.
To achieve the right light quality and sharp geometry, the star is equipped with Optoga’s ADA60 LED module, providing clear, warm and even illumination – ideal for the star’s unique form.

Why ADA60 was chosen:

✔ Smooth and even light distribution
✔ Stable colour rendering in slim armatures
✔ High energy efficiency – essential in Barcelona’s large LED initiative
✔ Perfect for unique shapes and complex forms

The tree is also illuminated by over 13,000 LED lights and decorated with dichroic light bands that change colour depending on the viewing angle. It is part of Barcelona’s major Christmas lighting project – with 126 km of decorated streets and LED installations across the city.

A brilliant example of how design, tradition, and modern lighting technology can work together – and how the choice of light source truly makes the difference.

We at Optoga are proud to help bring Christmas to life in Barcelona – at one of its most iconic winter landmarks.
