Premium lighting – because your patients deserve the best
Medical
LED modules in applications for surgical and examination light.
Our LED light sources for medical use are specifically designed for luminaire manufacturers and their luminaires used for minor surgical lighting, examination lighting and other medical and veterinary purposes where the light quality is crucial. Our products in the medical field are of the highest quality in combination with a large variety of integration opportunities. Easily adjust the brightness via an integrated dimmer, the color temperature of the light for different types of treatments or use the integrated night function. For specific requests, we can also develop completely new functions, adapted to your business and your needs.
OptoDrive Medical Solutions provides you with flexible LED light sources that meet the highest requirements in medical applications. They are also suitable for data that comply with the cyanosis observation index (COI), ie the highest requirements in Australia.

Features
Standardization
Function and shape are extremely important and the light sources we deliver today have the same form factor and interface as when we launched these in 2006. Of course, these have since been developed and become significantly more robust and with better performance. However, they are completely interchangeable with each other, which means that all interfaces have to be the same.
Color rendering
A color rendering that is very high with a CRI of about 98 and a color rendering in the red area (R9) of more than 90 makes them excellent to integrate into standardized solutions. They have also been approved by the Australian authorities, which have the strictest requirements for the cyanosis observation index (COI). COI thus means how well you can see that a patient has high oxygen saturation as blood with high oxygen saturation has a different color shade than blood with low oxygen saturation. It is then required that the light emission is correct within the deep red area, simply described in the diagram.
Night light
When the need for a simple examination is required for a night nurse, the patient's reading lighting is often combined with being examination lighting. This means that the dimmer functionality has a night light option that starts the light source at a low level so that the patient is not woken up with too high light levels at night by the night nurse or night doctor. On several of our solutions, this is integrated into the dimmer system.
CCT adjustment
Our standardized CCT examination light source has software integrated so that it can adjust the light as needed. It is incredibly important to be able to do this already in simple skin examinations where color temperature adjustment allows us to detect so many more variations. We have so many color shades and pigment shift on our skin, different from person to person. These light sources are a prerequisite for really being able to detect skin and pigment changes.
